Application and function

IGEMA magnetic level indicators in conjunction with an MRK reed chain not only indicate the level mechanically via the AL2-G/AL3-G indicator strip, but also generate a 4 - 20 mA signal during level measurement. The magnetic system in the float actuates a resistance measuring chain, which corresponds to a 3-wire potentiometer circuit. The measuring voltage generated is proportional to the level and is quasi-continuous due to the fine resolution of the measuring chain.

With the 4-20 mA signal, the liquid level can be transmitted over long distances to a control station or to a remotely installed IGEMA remote display element (LB-16).

It is also possible to switch freely selectable limit values in conjunction with IGEMA limit value switches (M510).
