Electronic Boilersurvaillance and Boilercontroll
With electronic systems, probes are used as measuring devices. They use the electrical conductivity of the boiler water to detect whether the tip of the electrode rod is in the water or in steam occupied space. Depending on the application, the electrodes are located in a housing attached outside the boiler drum or in a protective pipe inside the boiler.
Measurement of the physical condition is done between the electrode tip and the boiler shell or the protective tube, respectively.
IGEMA level limiter correspond to the EU-directive 2014/68/EU annex II (modules B+D, category IV) and the applied technical rule EN 12953-9 and EN 12952-11.
Continuous and 2-point level control
Discontinuous control is used mainly in smaller steam boilers with low output since the temperature fluctuations in the boiler are frequent due to irregular refilling of water. Continuous control, on the other hand, permits greater economical steam generation with higher quality.
TDS limitation and TDS controlling
During ongoing and continuous operation, the substances suspended in the water are concentrated. In order to avoid the negative consequences (foaming, deposits) of excessive salt content in the boiler water, specified limit values must not be exceeded.
With the aid of a TDS control valve, boiler water with concentrated content is constantly removed and replaced with clean water. If the limit values are exceeded, the TDS ensures prompt shut-off of the burner.
Solid particles that have been collected at the bottom of the boiler drum are removed by a quick release of the Blow-down valve.
